The Finance Committee is excited to announce that online giving for making your contributions is growing. And it is helping the church! It can be used by members of the church as well as non-members. The only requirement is you must have an email address. The use of pew envelopes will not be eliminated. Online giving is simply a safe and secure option of how we can give to our church.
Vanco Payment Solutions is our transaction company. This company is approved by the General Council on Finance and Administration of the United Methodist Church. Vanco has been in business for over 20 years and has been working with the United Methodist Church since 2002. More than 31,000 churches, schools, and non-profits utilize Vanco's services with over 3,000 being United Methodist churches.
There are many benefits to making contributions with online giving. Convenience, financial consistency, and better forecasting of donations are just a few. As a result, the church can be more confident with meeting its financial goals.
Setting up for this way of giving is easy. All accounts are kept confidential because they are totally in the hands of the user. Contributions can be made through your savings or checking account or with a credit/debit card. No member of Randall's Finance Committee will have access to any of your personal information such as credit and debit card numbers. The contributions go directly into Randall's bank account.
To set up an online account:

You will receive an email stating your profile has been created successfully and then you will be ready to give contributions online!
Another benefit of making contributions this way is that you have total access to your online giving records. You can view and print your statements any time. Your total quarterly and yearly statements will still be provided to you by the Finance Committee.
Online giving is not about replacing the collection plate or taking away the spiritual element of giving. It just provides another option for helping us financially so that we can continue to carry out the missions of the church.
If you need assistance in setting up an account or if you have any questions about this process, please come to the finance room any Sunday. The Finance Committee will be glad to assist you.
